Below sets out the terms and conditions for catering ordered and purchased through Cakes and Catering. If you have any questions about these please do not hesitate to ask.
All prices are valid for 1 month from date of issue. Once booked price is guaranteed for a period of 12 months, subject to a price fluctuation in excess of 10%.
Prices quoted are based on your estimated number of guests and any changes in numbers may affect the menu price if final number drop by more than 10%.
On booking Cakes and Catering require a non-refundable deposit of 25%. Rounded to nearest pound. This then secures the date and forms a contract with Cakes and Catering.
Twelve (12) weeks prior to the event 50% of total is due.
The final balance to be paid in full is required four (4) weeks prior to the event.
We accept payment by banks transfer or cheque. You can also see us in the shop and pay by cash.
Your deposit is non-refundable.
If cancellation occurs fourteen (14) days prior to your event 50% of total order will be charged.
If cancellation occurs seven (7) days prior to event 100% will be charged.
Numbers and Special Diets
The final number of guests to be confirmed 2 weeks before the event. Cakes and Catering will try to accommodate any increase in numbers following this date.
The invoice will be made on the confirmed number of guests or actual numbers whichever is the greater.
Any special dietary requirements must be notified to Cakes and Catering fourteen (14) days prior to the event and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Children between the ages of 5-11 will be charged at half price and over 11 will be charged at full price.
All goods and ingredients are offered subject to availability. If we cannot obtain a certain item or feel it is poor quality we reserve the right to make a substitution. We will notify the client of any change where possible.
Meals for any staff for example, photographer or bands must be pre ordered and will be charged for.
Cakes and Catering require reasonable access to the venue. We may need to charge for extra staff if the layout and serving area deem it to be difficult to work efficiently in the time available.
In the event of insufficient power and water supplies, for example marquee functions, it is the responsibility of the client to ensure that an adequate catering tent with sufficient power and safe water supply together with trestle tables for food preparation and plate clearance are made ready available and located within the food service area.
Please discuss with us any dietary requirements. Please be aware the kitchen uses nuts and gluten.
Any complaints must be received by Cakes and Catering in writing within seven (7) days of the event. All complaints will be investigated and responded to.
